agreement with the Port of Corpus Christi, Interport Trade Center can offer all
of the advantages of a Foreign Trade Zone. Benefits include deferral of US
Customs duties, elimination of drawbacks on re-exports, inverted tariff savings,
quota management and more
Tax Abatement: Interport Trade Center has been
designated as an Enterprise Zone under the laws of the State of Texas.
This designation qualifies eligible companies for industrial tax abatement,
limited sales tax refund, and building permit refunds for new development within
the Zone.
Job Creation Incentive Grants: Interport Trade Center
coordinates with the City of Lubbock's economic development organization, Market
Lubbock, Inc. to offer research support and job creation incentive grants to new
and expanding businesses. Market Lubbock also works with companies to
access a variety of other federal, state and local incentive programs.
